New Kent County Public Schools (NKCPS) serves approximately 3500 students from pre-K to 12th grade in a rural community between Richmond and Williamsburg. Our mission is to foster a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to be creative, caring, and engaged in higher-order thinking.

We aim to inspire, engage, and empower students through relevant learning experiences, emphasizing innovation and lifelong learning. Our dedicated faculty, staff, and administrators prioritize a safe, inclusive environment focused on community engagement, civic responsibility, and global awareness.

NKCPS graduates possess essential skills such as effective communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and resilience. We ensure each student develops a post-graduate plan for enrollment, enlistment, or employment, preparing them for success in society.
