NKCPS Student Achievement
School divisions are required to report the academic achievement results of their students to parents and the community. The Commonwealth of Virginia uses SOL test data and graduation data to determine whether schools are to be accredited. This includes SOL results in reading, math, science and social studies.  For a detailed explanation of accountability and accreditation in the Commonwealth of Virginia visit the Virginia Department of Education webpage. The results from the 2016-2017 school year indicated that all four of our schools continue to be fully accredited by the state.

The Every Student Succeeds Act requires that school divisions break down the results of our SOL tests by the various sub groups of students in their student body. This act has set targets for school divisions to achieve in reading, math, science, social studies and graduation rates.

The Virginia School Quality Profiles are produced and made public each year to indicate the progress made in each school division and individual school.  For more information regarding the school quality profiles, parents and community members may access the VDOE YouTube Channel.
